Teaching Hadoop

Just wanted to point out I've started instructing a 2 day Hadoop Boot Camp over at Scale Unlimited. It covers both Hadoop deployment and administration, as well as how to think, and not think, in MapReduce, when developing applications.

We are delivering the class onsite for organizations about to jump head first into a Hadoop project. And should have a public course announced shortly.

I think this class is very important for those organizations either curious about Hadoop, or who are pretty sure its the way to go with their particular problem, but don't have time to waste making mistakes or understanding MapReduce on their own.

First, developers gain a instinctive understanding of when and where to apply Hadoop in their architecture. Second, developers will be able to visualize and execute solutions based on MapReduce, not a trivial task.

If interested in a 2 day cram course on Hadoop with lectures and labs for your organization, please feel free to drop us a note.
