Correlating my recent experiences with Progress Software, the company behind Sonic MQ, and the current market trend of their stock, I can only assume big trouble ahead. A shame as their recent acquisition of Actional filled a large hole in their product offering. I would like to downgrade their status to 'replace' pending identification of a more suitable product.

Developers need to recognize that the Facade Pattern is intended to hide complexity, not to justify it. Not needing a Facade is better than using one. If you can do away with the complexity without hiding it behind the Facade, you are better off.
My flight is delayed, so I'm borrowing bandwidth emitting from the executive club behind the wall at my back. Now I have the option to work or play. But wouldn't it be interesting if through LinkedIn or a similar service I could find a colleague whom might also be stuck at Terminal E at DFW? Or a colleague of a colleague whom there may be a common business interest?
I was out at a large computer manufacturer this week, north of Austin, interviewing some of their executive staff on process. It is well known that this company measures everything, and all their decisions are based on those measurements. And that their BPI process (a variant on Six Sigma) creates a virtuous circle of leadership creating new leadership, who are empowered to continuously make improvements.
